In a move that impacts the technical leadership of the USSF, Chief Soccer Officer Asher Mendelsohn has resigned, multiple sources have told ESPN.
Mendelsohn's duties involved overseeing the administrative needs on the technical side of the organization, thinking through strategy and helping to implement various processes, such as the hiring process for coaches.
With Earnie Stewart now assuming the role of sporting director, in which he oversees all technical aspects of the USSF, it's to be determined if the CSO role will continue, or if its duties will be assumed by a different position within the Federation.
