U.S. U-20 youth international and Hannover 96 defender Chris Gloster has agreed to terms on a transfer to Eredivisie powerhouse PSV Eindhoven, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.
Bild was the first to report the news.
Gloster, 19, is heading to Eindhoven on Wednesday, and will undergo a medical the following day. If all goes well, he will officially sign with PSV on Friday.
The move amounts to a considerable reward for Gloster's play at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where his consistent performances at left back helped the U.S. reach the quarterfinals. One source with direct knowledge of the transfer said the contract is for three years and that PSV will pay a fee of around $280,000 to Hannover, with add-on bonuses that could reach $1 million.
