Sofapaka FC cut Gor Mahia's lead at the top of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) table to just four points, albeit perhaps only temporarily, following their 2-0 win against 10-man Western Stima at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Wednesday.
The Power Men came into the match fully motivated after collecting four points from their last two games, against relegation-threatened Mount Kenya United and leaders Gor Mahia.
Meanwhile, Batoto ba Mungu threw a two-goal lead against Tusker FC to draw 2-2 last weekend, and they were keen on making amends in order to stand a chance of winning the league this season.
