RUMORS: England has not made contact with USMNT over Jurgen Klinsmann

It had been speculated that England was interested in USMNT manager Jurgen Klinsmann after Roy Hodgson resigned.

The English FA has not approached the U.S. men's national team about Jurgen Klinsmann being a candidate for their vacant managerial position,

according to ESPN FC.

Rumors swirled earlier in the week after Roy Hodgson stepped down as England's manager following an embarrassing 2-1 loss against Iceland in the European Championship's Round of 16.

Hodgson was already under pressure following England's disappointing showing at the 2014 World Cup that led to Costa Rica winning its group.
