As European clubs close out the transfer windows some young Americans are set to join new clubs. After a standout performance in the Gold Cup, Matthew Hoppe is headed to Spain. The American forward will join RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Second Division.
The 20 year-old will join the club, owned by American Robert Sarver who also owns the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, as they hope to stay afloat in La Liga.
Another American is headed to Venezia... or we’ll just call them VeneziAMERICA from now on. Jack de Vries has been loaned to the Italian club from the Philadelphia Union for the season.
