Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic has re-written the history books in being named the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year for 2017.

The 19-year-old has become the youngest recipient of the prize in its 34-year-old history, with Landon Donovan – who won for the first time at the age of 21 in 2003 – nudged down the pecking order.

Pulisic dominated the voting process to emerge victorious, getting the nod from 94 percent of those polled.
