PSG sign Timothy Weah, son of former Ballon d'Or winner, to first pro contract

Timothy Weah signed his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, tying the United States youth international to the Parc des Princes until 2020.

Weah, 17, is the son of former striker George Weah, the 1995 Ballon d'Or winner who played for PSG, AC Milan and Monaco during his legendary career.

The younger Weah, who was born in New York, joined Les Parisiens' youth academy in 2014 and recently represented the U.S. at this year's CONCACAF Under-17 Championship in Panama.

He also stood out for PSG in the UEFA Youth League last season and scored three times in his first start -- an 8-1 demolition of Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad.
