The United States Men’s National Team will return to action early next month with friendlies against Mexico and Uruguay. The matches will be the first for the USMNT since a 1-0 loss to Mexico in the Gold Cup final on July 7th. For head coach Gregg Berhalter, it will be a chance to further evaluate talent and shape what his roster will look like before the team begins CONCACAF Nations League play in October.
In looking at who Berhalter could call in for the friendlies next month, he hinted over the weekend that he would opt for “consistency,” bringing in most of his core players and working in some others.
