Kariobangi Sharks registered their first win in over two months after defeating Mathare United 3-2 in a thrilling Kenyan Premier Leagie (KPL) fixture staged at Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday.
The Slum Boys had claimed a morale-boosting 2-0 win against AFC Leopards last weekend and were aiming to claim another against Kariobangi Sharks, who had not won any of their last 11 games.
However, it was the William Muluya-led side who scored first after last season's MVP and top scorer Erick Kapaito nodded in an Erick Juma cross in the 30th minute after coming close several times earlier.
