Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris' strained hamstring has been described as a "multiple-week injury," hitting his chances of playing in next month's World Cup qualifiers, a source has told ESPN FC.
U.S. international Morris suffered the injury in the second half of Sunday's 1-1 draw with LA Galaxy and was substituted in the 61st minute.
The injury came five days after he had helped set up Bobby Wood's equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Honduras.
Morris underwent an MRI on Monday and, while the results have not been made public, the injury makes it unlikely that he will feature at home to Panama on Oct.
