The United States international will miss his club’s key upcoming match due to an ongoing shin problem.
Defender John Brooks will miss Hertha Berlin’s key upcoming match with Bayer Leverkusen with a shin injury, the club’s head coach Pai Dardai has confirmed.
The contest Saturday pits fourth-placed Hertha with third-placed Leverkusen with five points separating the two sides, with three games remaining for both teams.
Brooks has been struggling with a shin bruise for over a month. He traveled to meet up with the United States national team for its World Cup qualifiers with Guatemala in March but did not play in either of the contests before returning to Germany early.
