Javier Hernandez and Carli Lloyd voted CONCACAF Players of the Year

Mexico striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and United States midfielder Carli Lloyd have been named the 2015 CONCACAF male and female Players of the Year, the governing body has announced.

CONCACAF announced the winners of 11 different categories -- voted on by member association women's and men's national team coaches and captains, media and fans -- on Friday.

Hernandez, a first-time recipient, has scored 19 goals in 25 games over all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen since moving from Manchester United on a loan last summer.

The former Real Madrid man also led El Tri to Gold Cup glory, and was instrumental in Mexico's CONCACAF Cup playoff victory over the United States last summer.
