The U.S. national team goalkeeper said several players the former boss brought in were not in it for the right reasons.
U.S. national team goalkeeper Tim Howard has criticized former coach Jurgen Klinsmann over his use of foreign-born players.
Klinsmann, who was fired in November after losing the first two games of the Hexagonal, incorporated many players into the U.S. national team who were raised outside of the United States, including Julian Green, Aron Johannsson, John Brooks, Fabian Johnson and Danny Williams among others.
“What I think (new manager Bruce Arena) will add is this ability to truly believe in the shirt and I think we lost that a little bit over the last couple of years,” Howard told USA Today.
