Today, CONCACAF announced the venues and dates for the 2019 Gold Cup, including which groups will contain some of the top seeds in the Gold Cup. The United States, who are the hosts for next summer’s regional tournament, will be placed in Group D and will be in the Midwest for the entirety of the group stage.
The defending Gold Cup champions after winning it all in 2017, the USMNT will begin the tournament at Allianz Field in St. Paul Minnesota on June 18th, confirming earlier reports. Their second group stage match will be in Cleveland at FirstEnergy Stadium on June 22nd.
