The striker who once turned down his native United States has seen his career hit another low after he failed a drug test in Italy
Giuseppe Rossi's roller-coaster career had already had its fill of brutal lows, which often overshadowed his highs, and the latest low could be the one that signals the end for him as a player.
Rossi is facing a one-year ban after testing positive for a banned substance in a test administered last May, after Rossi played for Genoa in a 1-0 loss to Benevento.
Currently without a club after being released by Genoa in the summer, Rossi joined Genoa after recovering from the latest major injury to mar his career, a torn ACL suffered in April of 2017 with Spanish side Celta Vigo.
