Daine Klate will be coaching Chippa United's Multichoice Diski Challenge team against Stellenbosch FC on Friday.
The former Bidvest Wits player has won the most trophies in South African football, and he tells the media that due to his record the youngsters are respecting his coaching advice.
After retiring on the field last season, Klate is determined to succeed as a coach and recently attended a Uefa coaching course in the Republic of Ireland.
The SABC's Velile Mnyandu caught up with Klate at the Port Elizabeth airport to speak to him about the special upcoming experience of sitting in the dugout for his first game.
