Many USMNT supporters have Ethan Horvath as their heir apparent to the national team’s starting goalkeeper job. The 21-year-old transferred to Belgian side Club Brugge in the winter but hasn’t played until Friday, when he made his debut. The good news is, Brugge beat Royal Chaleroi 3-1 and Horvath even appeared to assist on one of the goals.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the American. His first goal conceded at the club is one that he won’t be able to let down for quite a while. Thinking a whistle had blown, Horvath set the ball down for a free kick.
