Plateau United’s Elijah Ogene has opined that with more luck on the side of the Peace Boys they should be in the playoff s zone conveniently and not battling to beat the drop to the lower league.
Abdu Maikaba boys were the winners of the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2017 season after they pipped MFM to the title and they represented Nigeria in the Caf Champions League and the Caf Confederation Cup competitions last year which slowed down their productivity in the league last season.
They brought in Maikaba in place of Kennedy Boboye whose contract expired while they also signed some new players to replace some of the players they lost to overseas clubs last season and they were expected to be in serious contention for the league title they won two seasons ago but Ogene revealed that if not for hard luck they have a good team that can face any opposition in the NPFL.
