One of the biggest gripes over Jurgen Klinsmann's finalized 23-man Copa America Centenario roster was the lack of a natural left back. That concern has now been alleviated as U.S. Soccer announced on Friday that they have replaced Timmy Chandler on their roster with Edgar Castillo.
Chandler picked up a quad strain in Eintracht Frankfurt's relegation playoff second leg against Nurnberg. It's an unfortunate turn of events for the German-American who was set to re-enter the national team picture after a year's absence.
In steps Castillo, who many thought would be the team's left back heading into this tournament.
