The USMNT roster has undergone several changes due to COVID restrictions. Today, U.S. Soccer announced that Tyler Adams, Nicholas Gioacchini, and Tim Weah were all withdrawn from the roster for upcoming matches against Jamaica and Northern Ireland. The reason given was quarantine requirements in their respective areas. Players are not required to be released by their clubs under the current temporary FIFA rules if they have to observe a minimum of 5 days quarantine upon their return.
In their place, midfielder Christian Cappis and forward Jordan Siebatcheu have been added to the roster. Cappis, 21, plays for Hobro IK in the Danish Superligaen.
