The Concacaf Champions League semifinals are set, and after Major League Soccer sent 5 teams to the quarterfinals, only one is left to carry the flag to the next round. The Philadelphia Union are MLS’s only hope to win the CCL after they took care of business against Atlanta United.
The Union happened to be the only MLS team that didn’t have to play a team from Liga MX, as the Columbus Crew, Portland Timbers, and Toronto FC each succumbed to Monterrey, Club América, and Cruz Azul, respectively.
