The U.S. youth international will be sidelined six to eight months after tearing the ACL and lateral meniscus in his right knee.
Colorado Rapids midfielder and U.S. youth international Dillon Serna will be sidelined six to eight months after tearing the ACL and lateral meniscus in his right knee, the club announced Friday.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury during the Rapids' 2-1 loss to FC Dallas in U.S. Open Cup action Wednesday.
"We are extremely disappointed for Dillon that this injury has come at a time when he and the club are doing so well," Rapids technical director Paul Bravo said in a news release.
