This morning, Christian Pulisic added another award to his trophy case when the United States Soccer Federation announced his selection as 2019 Male Player of the Year. It’s his second award in three years, having previously won the award in 2017.
Pulisic, who was the youngest to ever win the award when he won in 2017, is now the youngest to win it twice (21 years, 85 days). He’s also the 7th player to win multiple Male Player of the Year awards, joining Landon Donovan (4), Clint Dempsey (3), Kasey Keller (3), Tim Howard (2), Jozy Altidore (2), and Marcelo Balboa (2).
