As the USMNT prepares to face Mexico in New Jersey tonight, news reported by Doug McIntyre of Yahoo states that five players will be heading back to their clubs after the match. Christian Pulisic, Zack Steffen, John Brooks, Alfredo Morales, and Sean Johnson are set to miss the Uruguay game. The report notes that the players may not be replaced, but Gregg Berhalter will have plenty of options for the tilt against the South Americans.
While missing some of the best players in the pool will be a challenge, it will also allow some new faces to potentially show the USMNT manager they belong in future callups.
