Chris Wondolowski woke up this morning feeling like a king. By the end of the day, he would be wearing a crown. The 36-year-old San Jose Earthquakes striker scored all 4 goals for San Jose in a 4-1 victory against the Chicago Fire. With his second goal, he moved past Landon Donovan to stand along as the most prolific goal scorer in Major League Soccer history.
In the 21st minute, Wondo got the scoring started. Shea Salinas had the ball on the left side of the box, made a move towards the middle, and then found Wondo at the right edge of the 6-yard box.
