Another American player could be set to feature in a European competition this season. Tottenham Hotspur have added United States youth international Cameron Carter-Vickers to their Europa League roster for the remainder of their season.
The 18-year-old centerback will be the main backup behind Toby Alderweireld now that Jan Vertonghen has been sidelined with a long term injury. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has said in the past that the club can rely on Carter-Vickers to fill in if needed. He even went as far as not buying a replacement centerback in the January transfer window because of how much the club trusts the youngster.
