US women’s national team midfielder Andi Sullivan has won the Hermann Trophy, presented each year by the Missouri Athletic Club to the top college player in the US.
Sullivan came back from an ACL tear during the 2016 NCAA tournament, when Stanford was playing Santa Clara, and helped lead Stanford to the 2017 championship. She played a full 90 in the final game against UCLA, which Stanford won 3-2. Sullivan was one of the goalscorers who added to that tally.
Sullivan also rejoined the US women’s national team in 2017 after her ACL injury sidelined an extremely promising start in late 2016.
