The United States under-17 men’s national team continue their quest to qualify for the World Cup with their second group match at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship in Panama City. Up next for the Americans is a rare group match against their bitter rivals Mexico. No matter the level, you almost never see these two countries play each other in a tournament until the later stages. But somehow they ended up in the same group for this one.
Both teams won their opening matches in convincing fashion. The U.S. beat Jamaica by five and Mexico topped El Salvador by six with both keeping clean sheets.
