The United States under-17 men’s national team wrap up group play at the CONCACAF Championship today against El Salvador. John Hackworth’s side have clinched a spot in one of the three-team Classification Stage groups after winning their first two matches over Jamaica and rivals Mexico. In all likelihood, this match will be used as a chance to give some of the other players who haven’t gotten many minutes a chance to play.
The U.S. have clinched top spot in their group as well and will play Cuba and Honduras in the next round. If they finish in the top two of that group after the three matches, they will clinch a berth to the World Cup.
