Robin van Persie says he wasn't offered a new contract at Arsenal before making his sensational transfer to Manchester United.
The Netherlands striker gave up the captaincy with the Gunners in 2012 to join the Red Devils in a £24 million ($29m) deal.
Van Persie went on to win the Premier League title with United the following season - and spent three campaigns at Old Trafford.
