The United States Women’s National Team look to get back on track today when they take on New Zealand in their second match at the 2020 Olympics. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, but the USWNT are the ones who currently sit in last place in Group G as a result of their 3-0 opening day loss to Sweden.
The USWNT last faced the Ferns back in May 2019, a World Cup send-off match where the Americans pummeled New Zealand by a 5-0 score. It won’t be as easy this time around, as the pressure of attempting to get out of the group mounts.
