The United States Men’s National Team is having a rough go of it as they prepare for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Two recent losses to Jamaica and Venezuela didn’t help their ranking as they dropped 6 spots to 30th in the FIFA World Rankings that were released today.
Since the formula for the World Rankings changed last August, the USMNT had been hovering between 23rd and 25th in the world. That has changed after a disastrous effort at home to two teams below them in the ladder. While the top 4 went unchanged, Portugal rose to 5th after winning the UEFA Nations League last weekend.
