The USMNT kicked off their 2019 Gold Cup campaign with a 4-0 win over Guyana on Tuesday night and the scoreline was indicative of the mismatch in National Team levels if not as overwhelming as one might have expected when looking at the two teams on paper.
Unsurprisingly an improved scoreline meant improved match scores across the board. Compared to the match against Venezuela when just two players made it above the 5.0 threshold this match there are just two players below that threshold.
The leader of course was Gyasi Zardes’ left eyeball which expertly slotted home the third goal of the game.
