The United States men’s national team wrap up group play in the 2021 Gold Cup today as they take on their Northern neighbors, Canada. Both teams come into the match with two wins and designs on taking top spot in the group.
Gregg Berhalter’s team will need to win the match to take the top spot due to the third tiebreaker of total goals scored. Both sides have the same goal differential of +6 but Canada have one more goal scored than the Americans and thus hold the advantage.
The additions of Gianluca Busio, Daryl Dike, Matthew Hoppe and Eryk Williamson lit a spark under the USA’s attack in the second group match against Martinique.
