A late brace by Abdel Rahman Magdi and Ramadan Sobhi's penalty saw Egypt run 3-0 victors against South Africa to reach the Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations final on Tuesday.
Hosts Egypt turned on the style in the second half to set up a final date with Ivory Coast who beat Ghana earlier on in the day.
More importantly for Egypt, they qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games.
Following a goalless first half, Sobhi broke the deadlock 14 minutes after the interval by converting from the penalty spot while Magdi netted twice in the last six minutes of the match.
