United States international Tyler Boyd has a new club. The 24-year-old, who recent switched his international allegiance from New Zealand to the USMNT, officially signed with Turkish powerhouse Besiktas on Monday.
Boyd transfers from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes but is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig after spending the last half of last season on loan with Ankaragucu.
This is a bold step for Boyd who is entering the prime of his career and possibly on his way to becoming a fixture with the U.S. national team. He made his debut with the USMNT this summer and even scored a handful of goals in his few appearances.
