Edward Lorenz once wrote, "One flap of a sea gull's wings would be enough to alter the course of the weather forever."
Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce is in talks to take over the English national team. Although the Black Cats want Allardyce to stay (referring to the speculation as "extremely damaging... particularly at this crucial time of the season"), they've granted him permission to talk with the Football Association.
If he does take the job, then there's going to be some consequences with regards to the United States men's national team.
If you'll allow me to state the obvious, should Sam Allardyce become England's manager, then Jurgen Klinsmann will not become England's manager.
