Tanzania have qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after hammering Uganda 3-0 at the National Stadium in Da es Salaam on Saturday evening.
Taifa Stars needed to defeat the Cranes and hope that Cape Verde defeats or holds Lesotho to a draw in Praia. Their qualification was confirmed after the Blue Sharks held Likuena to a goalless stalemate, joining already-qualified Uganda at the Egypt showpiece from Group L.
Tanzania made a positive start to the encounter with their captain Mbwana Samatta linking up well upfront with Simba FC's form man John Bosco.
