The Copa America Centenario is just over a week away and a tournament cannot be played without referees (until they invent robot refs). The organizing committee for the tournament have announced the list of 53 referees and assistants from CONCACAF and CONMEBOL to officiate the special anniversary Copa America.
In total, seven officials from the USA were picked to take part in the tournament. The most notable name on the list is the much-maligned MLS referee, Mark Geiger. The American participated in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and has been involved with several controversial incidents that have scarred his reputation among soccer followers.
