Orlando Pirates assistant coach Fadlu Davids says Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Lebohang Maboe deserves an opportunity to play overseas.
Davids, who has since joined the Buccaneers technical team, was speaking as they prepare to face the Brazilians in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Monday, saying the striker whom he mentored at Maritzburg United, is an ambitious player.
“When I coached him, he already had a clear ambition to move overseas and I have always felt he has the ability to play in a top European league. I am not surprised by the way he has adapted to playing at Sundowns,” Davids told the media.
