Michael Bradley was subbed out of the United States' third-place match against Colombia. That was newsworthy because it was the first time the U.S. captain had been taken out of a competitive match since 2011. It turns out that Bradley was taken off for good reason.
Early in that match Bradley went down hard in the middle of the field and had to be helped off before returning. It turns out that his knee was injured significant. Toronto FC announced on Friday that the American will miss six weeks with a knee strain.
