Manchester City and Olympique Lyonnais face down for the second leg of their home-and-away series in the Champions League semifinals. Lyon were simply too much for City in game one, resulting in a 3-1 defeat at home for the English side. Now City play away in France and will have to overcome a goal deficit in order to advance. It’s a tall order for an away team, much less one that doesn’t seem quite able to hang with Lyon’s superstar roster. Much will depend on Carli Lloyd, Kosovare Asllani, and Lucy Bronze, although City will surely be hoping for star turns from young players like Izzy Christiansen and Nikita Parris.
