Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat will leave the club at the conclusion of their season following Wednesday's Asian Champions League match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima, according to a report.
The Age says Muscat will lead Victory as their ACL campaign draws to a close with the dead rubber against the Japanese team, but will step down once official commitments are completed.
The decision is understood to have been building for a number of weeks, even before Victory crashed out of the A-League semi finals after a 6-1 loss to Sydney FC, with the belief that mutual split between the manager and club will benefit both parties.
