The United States Men’s National Team roster continues to undergo changes ahead of next week’s friendly against El Salvador. U.S. Soccer announced earlier today that Real Salt Lake goalkeeper David Ochoa has left training camp after suffering a right quadriceps injury. It was his first training camp with the USMNT, and he was competing to possibly appear on the field next week.
Ochoa will be replaced by San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski, who has appeared in two prior USMNT camps but has yet to see the field. He was a part of the U-23 national team that went to Mexico for Olympic qualifying back in March before the qualifying tournament was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
