Jozy Altidore, Christian Pulisic win U.S. Soccer Player of the Year awards

For the second time in his career, Jozy Altidore has been named U.S. Soccer’s Male Athlete of the Year, the federation announced on Friday. In addition to the main award, Christian Pulisic has also been named the Young Male Athlete of the Year winner.

Both award winners are deserving for their production throughout the year in comparison to their fellow finalists. Altidore led the USMNT in goals with six. Jozy won this award back in 2013, as well as collecting the Young Player of the Year in 2016.

Altidore, who beat out Clint Dempsey, Bobby Wood, Michael Bradley, and Geoff Cameron, was nothing but gracious after winning.
