The United States men’s national team’s most in-form striker is going to miss the vital upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Honduras and Panama. U.S. Soccer announced on Sunday that Bobby Wood has been taken off the USMNT’s roster for the matches beginning on Friday in San Jose due to a back injury. In his place, Sacha Kljestan was added. Also added for defensive purposes is Matt Besler.
Kljestan has been added as an injury replacement for Bobby Wood (back), while Besler joins camp to bolster the #USMNT defense.
