India kicked off their SAFF Championship 2021 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Bangladesh on Monday at the National Football Stadium in Male, Maldives.
This was the eighth time that the Blue Tigers managed a draw since Igor Stimac became the head of the team two years ago in May 2021. India have till now played 18 matches under the Croatian Coach's tutelage out of which they have won thrice, lost seven matches and drew eight times.
The Blue Tigers' first win came against Thailand on June 8, 2019, in the King's Cup in Buriram where Anirudh Thapa's strike had made the difference.
