India were held to a 1-1 draw by hosts Nepal in the first of the two international friendly matches on Thursday at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
This was the 20th meeting between the two teams and India still have a superior head-to-head record having won 13 matches, Nepal have won two and this was the fifth time a tie took place. After today's game, India have now scored 34 goals and conceded 10.
Before today's tie, the last time these two sides met was on June 6, 2017, at the Mumbai Football Arena where the Blues Tigers emerged victorious thanks to goals from Sandesh Jhingan and Jeje Lalpekhlua.
