Emmanuel Adebayor revealed that former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho 'once killed' Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring a hat-trick in a game.
Adebayor spent the second half of the 2011 season with the Meringues, where he scored eight goals in 22 matches after falling out-of-favour at Manchester City.
He capped his brief stint in the Spanish capital with a Copa del Rey title, but the Togo skipper recalled a moment in the dressing room when Mourinho challenged Ronaldo to prove his qualities having scored three goals in the encounter already.
