Nigeria took to the dressing room to celebrate their first win at the Fifa Women’s World Cup after their 2-0 win over South Korea.
An own goal from Korea’s Doyeon Kim in the 29th minute and a fine finish from Asisat Oshoala in the 75th minute gave the reigning African champions maximum points at the Stade des Alpes.
The victory boosted their chances of qualifying for the knockout round after a 3-0 defeat to Norway in their Group A opening game last Saturday.
